Disaster Area Reassessment:  During the night of July 11-12, Kane County and the surrounding areas experienced a major storm that generated a large amount of rainfall, leading to flooding along the Fox River, its tributaries, and other low-lying areas.  You may be eligible if your home, business, or other property suffered damages from this storm.   The Disaster Area Application for Reassessment form can be found at www.KaneCountyAssessments.org/Forms/Disaster.pdf.

April 28, 2017: Property Tax Bills mailed Property tax bills for the 2016 (payable 2017) year have been mailed to every property owner at the last known available address; they can also be are now available to be viewed on www.KaneCountyTreasurer.org. January 23, 2017: Board of Review Findings Mailed On Monday, January 23, 2017, the Kane County Board of Review mailed its notices of findings for the 2016 session. Notices were mailed to all taxpayers (or their attorneys) of all properties that had decisions issued by the Board of Review. Pursuant to Illinois law, anyone wishing to appeal the decision of the Board of Review may do so within 30 days of the notice date. The appeal must be made to the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board.
